Burnley Maltings: Inside the First Terrace Homes
We finally got inside.
After months of watching Burnley Maltings go up from the street, two of the Terrace Homes have been fast-tracked, and last week we walked through both of them on a clear spring morning.
First impressions
The finishes are the headline. Renders and sample boards only tell you so much. Standing in the rooms, you see how the materials sit together, how the light moves through the space and how carefully the details have been handled. We came away genuinely impressed, and a little more excited about the rest of the release.
Then we went up to the roof. The view back across Burnley on a sunny day is hard to beat, and it is a good reminder of where these homes sit.
Why these two homes matter
These two terraces were brought forward so buyers can see the finished product before the wider project completes. Most off-the-plan buyers commit on the strength of a floor plan and a render. Here, you can walk through an actual home, open the cupboards and judge the quality for yourself.
To be clear, this is a look at these two homes, not the whole site. Construction is still under way across the rest of Burnley Maltings, and we will keep sharing updates as it moves along.
About the project
Burnley Maltings is at 45 Gibdon Street, Burnley. There are 51 residences in total, split between three-bedroom terrace homes and apartments inside the old silos. The idea is simple: respect the history of the site, but build homes for how people live now.
